NHF – new heroes for Heroes V 3.1.

Is it possible to use NCF to create special files that modify or add stats or abilities to specific units? The idea is: create a copy of the unit, give it a new ability, replace the old units in the army with the new ones before the battle, and then switch them back so that the buffed units cannot be transferred to other heroes.
