You know, I thought the same way when I was 14. And I firmly believed that I was a fully formed personality, a completely adult and independent person, capable of doing everything myself, making important decisions, and saying something incredibly smart and meaningful. When you're 16, you realize how small and foolish you were at 14. And you realize that your character at 14, with its "properties and traits," as you put it, is just an inflated self-esteem. Yes, by the age of 14, some views on people and life are already forming, but as you grow, you constantly re-evaluate things and CONSTANTLY change. And significantly. Yes, now you will start shouting that you are already an adult and it is too late for you to change, because your character has already stabilized, but wait a little, and you will understand how wrong you were. I don't know what I will realize about my character and worldview by the age of 18, but that will be later. And at 14, people are still just searching for themselves.
