The "refugees" turned out to be a group of nine people, seven men and two women. A blue-eyed brunette, a man in his forties, with short hair and an impressive physique (262 pounds, 76 inches tall), represented them. He had a tattoo on his right forearm: a stylish dagger with the inscription "Carpe Noctem." The others were a sixty-year-old doctor, a thin man with glasses, a nurse, a bedridden and unconscious young man of about twenty to twenty-five, and several other individuals. Seven of them had a "traditional" Ventorum appearance, and only two were Suchjon – the doctor and the nurse. One of the people in this group had an account of forty million denarii in the Idian Bank, and they planned to pay with that money.
