Yeah. But in the second quote, you say that full protection weakens the Maniacs because they are easy to kill in the early nights. And in the first quote, you say that full protection kind of strengthens them...
It doesn't weaken them, but rather provides a certain opportunity. It was implied that this is bad for the Maniac himself, because there is only one protection, but it is also bad for the town/Mafia, because they will 100% have to remove the protection, and every execution/every kill is important for them.
But I think that Morning with his "% protection" in game 75 was much more overpowered than Hekasan in game 97 with his two attack protections and one execution protection...
Even such protection didn't help the Lizard in the Mafia game of X-Men, and it wasn't even useful for the Hero in game 73. So it depends on the situation, but in reality, the help from such protections is less, and therefore there is no need to be afraid of them.
