I liked it. And even in games based on established settings, the balance can be off. And believe me, yours isn't the worst. So, personally, I prefer original settings. After all, the products of the GMs themselves are always more interesting than some generic thing from a pre-made plot, translated through the prism of their perception (not to mention that such a product may not coincide with the views of other players on the subject, if they are familiar with it, and may cause a dismissive attitude in other players who are not familiar with the subject and do not want to become familiar with it).
