Clavius found two bone piles, and on turn 116, I got confused about the armies and attacked a gold mine with 50 skeletons. I had to retreat, and it cost me two days, but it all worked out for the best. In the end, I intercepted the opponent's army and eliminated 16 archers. He bought his way out.
