I respawned with a surrender containing one road leading to GO, and ended up playing with a road block right beneath the Castle made of 10+ Efreets, and a three-day tempo loss due to roadless travel around it. In my native treasure zone, there was only one Dragon Fly Hive (6) and nothing for meat or magic stats. Against a pack of Necromancers with mass magic and lightning at 190+, there was nothing to field. Thanks for the game
Well, my situation wasn't any better — a respawn with no wood at all, a mine without any trees nearby, the adjacent zone 3 turns away by roadless travel and it was a swamp. The most paradoxical thing is that even by the end of the game, I hadn't found a single swamp hero with Gnolls. On the plus side, from the start: +1 morale from the banner and +1 speed on Skeletons. In the adjacent swamp zone, I never managed to take the Helm of +3 Knowledge until the end of the game, while my opponent had the Cloak of +2+2 in their adjacent zone, which I eventually took. I went into the main with Sandro, took a box of 5 EXP in the adjacent zone, cleared a bit of the treasure zone on Skeletons. In the end, Sandro came out 1-2-4-10 (after the opponent's adjacent zone +2+2)... On turn 126, I broke GO, burst in with a scout hero, took the Castle, and hit the Cloak of +2+2 with a level 1 scout hero wielding all my power: 7 Griffins, 138 Skeletons, 35 Orcs, 70 Sprouts (from Pandora's Box). The opponent also reached with a scout hero, but with stats 4-7-1-1 (Alkin, I think)... 1 and 6 Serpents, 10 Wyverns, 25 Lizardmen, 3 Minotaurs, 4 Basilisks, 38 Gnolls, and a Ballista. In the end (my hero had no artifacts), I fought, leaving the opponent with 9 Lizardmen... On turn 131, I routed the remnants and marched my army toward the opponent. I didn't make it; he attacked my 26 Hounds, 34 Hobgoblins, 10 Air Elementals, and singletons of Faeries (Sandro 1-2-6-12(60) EXP Earth Magic, Scholar, Advanced Resistance). The Miner 10-10-4-20, 2 Wyverns, 3 Minotaurs, 14 Lizardmen, 18 Gnolls, singletons of Serpents... Well, Fireball stood no chance for the opponent, considering Lightning Bolt and Word of Power Thanks for the game
