The connection via Hamachi was established without any problems. But the problem is different: I have the Platinum Edition, version 4.00, and my gaming partner has version 3.1. As I understand it, it can only be patched up to 3.2. Will they be compatible after that, or do I need to buy an older version of the game?

Platinum 3.2 connects without any problems!!! Problems arise if someone has a mixed (dirty) version, for example, a version mixed with Wog!!! So, if you have Platinum and he upgrades to 3.2, you can play without any issues!!! Tested!!!
