third round, 1-0
I had only one last rest left, and I got a good draft: a stable and an external market under the Castle, lots of gold, and 2 external dwellings of ogres, a good road junction, and the heroes were so good that I didn't even know which one to level up. In the end, I didn't level up anyone on the first week. I wanted to use Necromancy, but somehow it didn't feel like the right tempo. Eventually, I stationed bears in the Castle on the first week and portal-summoned devils in the Dungeon, but I couldn't connect the chains to the ogre external dwellings.
I scouted many Dragon Fly Hives, but the guards were too tough. There were some walkable ones, but I hadn't trained Grindan at all. In the end, I take the first Dragon Fly Hive plus a resource pile that turned out to have 84 resources behind it. I lost some troops, but got 8 Wyverns. I start scaling up, when blue flags appeared at one of the computer players, which I could reach through 2 external taverns. My opponent was in bad shape — only one Castle and no army to speak of. At week 124, I think I'm about to finish him off, but the trade goes in his favor because of [КЗ]. I would have panicked, but I had scouted a red orb guarded by 5+ gold dragons — I just had to survive until the next week. The opponent didn't attack; most likely he couldn't scout properly due to lack of gold.
On the third week, I gather the growths, take the red orb, and wait for the opponent to make another mistake, but he fled to another part of the map. Meanwhile, I take the box for full air superiority and attack a couple of his towns, hoping he would counterattack with all his might. That's exactly what happened — my force was larger, and he didn't have enough to buy himself out.
Thank you for the game.
