Good and evil.

It is politically clear why Reagan called the USSR the "evil empire." He was, by the way, the last competent president of the United States who managed to keep the country at the peak of its ideological "avant-garde of progress and civilization." After him, everything collapsed like a house of cards, and the United States now resembles a character from a comic book.

Regarding wars – is it good or evil? Again, it depends on the perspective. Misfortune for an individual is the result of their incorrect relationship with the universe. The same applies to a nation; war is the "response" of the universe to the nation's degradation and, therefore, contributes to its revival or demise, depending on the state of degradation. World War I led to the demise of Tsarist Russia, despite the fact that it was at the peak of its power at that time (in 1913, Russia was the world leader in grain exports, gold reserves, and other criteria), i.e., it was essentially a "colossus with feet of clay."
World War II contributed to the revival of the USSR and the collapse of the Reich. And further – the war in Afghanistan led to the collapse of the USSR and the strengthening of Afghanistan (two paradoxes, where the aggressor suffers a collapse, and the defender is revived). Thus, war is a kind of "litmus test" for the parties involved – it exposes weakness and reveals strength.
