Thank you for the answers. 885x664 is no longer my preferred resolution; I tried it, and it's a completely different game. I set the settings as in Heroes of Might and Magic, but it didn't help; everything is still the same. I had to switch to screen settings and, by reducing the brightness, I managed to improve the picture somewhat.
