Where did people learn to play Heroes?

I graduated from the Moscow Heroic University:cool: Just kidding. About 10 years ago, my dad bought a collection of games. It included some broken version of Heroes 2 without sounds, music, or videos. I couldn't even play it on any difficulty level – I couldn't even defeat simple centaurs:D. But somehow, over 10 years, I learned how to play it myself.
