You choose a color, and then you get a map.
And then what? You can't change it. Where is it written that the pair chooses a castle??

Perhaps I didn't clearly formulate this point of the rules. I had the idea that the "red" team chooses the color (and, accordingly, the starting castle that is assigned to that color when the map is created) when creating the game, i.e., knowing what the pair and bonus will be.
