It's strange that some people judge level 7 creatures by their appearance or a couple of criteria. IMHO, Titans rule (provided there are many of them and the hero is pumped), as well as black dragons, who are simply indispensable for Dungeon mages. You need to take into account what type of hero it is, what special abilities and skills they have — because that's what determines how a squad fights! Obviously, if a hero is a novice in magic, all they can do is stock up on Archangels in skirts, split the squad, and let them resurrect each other. But if a hero is just incredibly powerful, then you can even win with hydras. Put them in the center of the fray and start turning everyone to ash with those numerous heads! As for Phoenixes — they are spectacular, that's a fact, but... resurrection doesn't help. If ten birds have been wiped out, their attempts to make themselves known on this earth for another couple of seconds won't achieve anything. The other monsters are neutral. Not particularly bad, not particularly good...
