No. I ended up here purely by chance. It happened like this:
about three years ago, servants of the Temple near Irrilot found me in a state of absolute helplessness and with a complete loss of all memory. I have lived at the monastery all this time, and since combat skills resurface in my memory during dangerous situations, I served them by clearing the surrounding area of creatures of various danger levels (all sorts of sorcerers, vampires...).
When I learned that great events were unfolding in the wide world, I set out in search of adventure... unsuccessfully, truth be told, since I soon found myself behind bars. There, an elf appeared to me; he gave me this amulet *shows* and pulled me from captivity in exchange for a favor: I must protect the life and health of a certain mage while she carries out her responsible mission. The elf and I rescued her from the Necropolis, but we nearly perished ourselves...
Now the elf is doing very poorly; he is with the village druid, and the sorceress... by the way, I really ought to find her...
