Nonsense. The overlong runtime combined with the rushed pacing, the clumsy attempt to force a rotten drama, the constant deus ex machina, and Matt Damon. There are a few decent scenes, but the rest is just a mess. Nobody cares about consistency or logic, so we can ignore those.
It's a shame it turned out this way; I didn't want to be a pseudo-elitist who just jumps on the mainstream bandwagon, but it just didn't work.
