Which came first: matter or spirit?

The soul exists initially, even before it enters a body. I've mentioned somewhere that earthly life is like a test, an exam. Remember the painting where God grants Adam reason: behind God, there are many people – human souls that haven't yet acquired bodies. And matter is just like a stone. A stone doesn't have a soul. What can a stone do? Nothing! :) It just lies there. You can spit on it, throw it somewhere to get it out of the way, or even paint it! The same goes for the human body. What can a corpse do? Nothing! It's even more useless than a stone. But when the body is controlled by the soul... a person becomes alive and can, if they wish, move mountains. The soul is independent of the body.
