In the first hour of the night, the founder, first consul, and father of the nation of the Federated Republic of Rex Ventorum was shot in his own residence. According to the ballistics expert, the single shot fired at the consul was from a VHI Celer-10 pistol, custom-built. The shooter used a silencer.
Lucius Cornelius Scipio was wounded in the head, but, by some stroke of luck, he managed to avoid actual death: the bullet lodged in his skull, but did not damage his brain; doctors were able to remove it, and now the consul's life is no longer in danger. Unfortunately, according to his attending physician's report, Lucius Cornelius Scipio will never regain consciousness.
