In a HoTa tournament, in the game Sting vs Maretti.
A very interesting nuance was mentioned regarding Jebus Cross which also applies to SOD — about the possibility of passing into the adjacent respawn of Maretti from the treasure zone, given that Stinger had already broken through one of the guard zones there, but Maretti did not see this (and had no way to check whether Sting was in that respawn where the guard had been broken), and consequently it became mandatory for him to break through the remaining Titan guard, not only to enter the adjacent respawn but also to continue through the treasure zone.

The question is: what if Maretti had run to the adjacent respawn anyway without breaking the guard (trusting his gut), hoping that Sting was actually there (but not knowing this!), would this be a rule violation and a tech loss, or would it be considered a guess with no penalty?
We would like to hear the opinion of the AC members as interpreted for SOD.
