Indeed. I picked all the resources, and cleared 2 paths. One path in the snow was immediately blocked by 40+ Storms above the Conflux, and the second path through the lava led to a dead-end Treasury. There, I took two mini-confluxes and one mini-hive, and a few Pandoras for experience. The second exit from the lava is at the edge of the map; I rushed with the entire group on the third week through the snow and immediately ended up at the Fortress, where the stats are better and the army is twice as large.

I bought off with Angels; I could have jumped with the Scroll of Izra from the dead-end Treasury, but there wasn't really anywhere to jump to.
