I just made a connection between Topazes and Scarlet Sails. Scarlet Sails - Green - Crimea ("Crimea is associated with the names of I.K. Aivazovsky, Chekhov, Voloshin, Green...") - Black Sea - Mediterranean Sea - Red Sea - Topazes ("The name topaz comes from the place where it was first found, on the island of Topazios (Topazion) in the Red Sea"). I'm too lazy to elaborate on this beautifully, and if anyone can, please check if there's any connection, because I was going from Topazes.
