I think the Mafia might have hoped that Oromis would listen to them and go block one of the first 9 players, and the maniac wouldn't want to help the town, so they sent Alex to kill. But it didn't work out...

By the way, is it possible that the entire Mafia team participated in the first vote?

Also, I'm curious, does the cat not find anything interesting in the players' moves that he visits? Or does he just not know how to subtly hint to us, in a way that we'll believe him?
