Hello everyone! The Asus RT-AC66U router has the ability to create OpenVPN and PPTP servers, as well as a built-in OpenVPN client :smile08:. Therefore, I no longer need Hamachi, Tunngle, TeamViewer VPN, etc. In general, everything is fine, but in "Network Game" it displays 192.168.1.* - an IP address that is provided by the built-in DHCP. I am interested in the possibility of "seeing" games created with 10.8.... (such IPs are set by default for VPN clients):smile45:. But I'm a newbie in these things:smile33:
You can see the web interface of the router here (it only shows PPTP). Tracing route (if anyone is interested) is in Local Network -> Routes.
It doesn't really eliminate the problem because after creating a VPN server, you still need to provide connection parameters to the other side, and given the lack of technical skills among most players, this presents an even greater problem than using Hamachi, TeamViewer, etc.
Here is a good post on setting up
these programs: /topic/at/272012/
There you will also find how to put the network connection higher in the list so that you can see the desired IP address in Heroes.
