Let's talk about Japan again: who were the ronin? Just infantry? Or something more significant? And into which principalities was Japan divided before Ieyasu unified it?

P.S. As far as I know, Ieyasu was the first Japanese commander to use firearms on a large scale in battle; before that, battles mainly involved swords and bows.
