So, did the crashes stop or not?
I've been dealing with this problem for over two years now, and I've just resigned myself to it.
There are no crashes. But that's where the good news ends.
All the buttons for playing the game are blocked. I can't start a "Campaign". I can't play on regular maps either. The internet connection is blocked in the game for synchronization.
Maybe if I had copied all the data from the remote folder, I could have fixed everything.

Maybe later I'll try deleting the game downloaded from the website and reinstalling it from the discs. It's quite possible that the directory in the registry will be saved to the newly created folder.
Most likely, the problem is that the website offered a trial version - completely blocked. And on the discs, I have the games to which the entered keys belong. I think I can fix everything with the save files. I successfully saved before all the final bosses in all the "campaigns" I played.
But that's for tomorrow, I'm too tired: confused:
If it helps, I'll let you know.....
I want to have some fun with tech support in response today. I'll write that the computer completely glitched out because of their advice, and that the whole house had power outages. The residents are threatening to sue.

In short, I solved the problem. It turns out I was just guessing.
After deleting the downloaded game and reinstalling it in order from the DVD discs of the "Gold Edition" and then "Shadows of the Past", I launched the game and the Russian localization appeared, as well as all the online achievements, including the completed "campaign". I solved the problem with the save files like this: I started the game on one of the selected maps, then made one save in the game. After saving, a new folder was created in the game: C drive/ users/ user/my documents/ Might & Magic Heroes Vl/ User - I copied the old save files into the Save folder there. Everything is working normally now.
In offline mode, to restore the "campaign" progress, I'll have to replay everything from the latest save files. - I didn't play the "campaign" through Confluxe, except for a couple of missions. But all the data about the "campaign" progress online remained saved on the server, and I can continue playing without any problems.

The order of troubleshooting was as follows. First, I deleted the Ubisoft launcher and the game in the "Programs and Features" menu. Then I deleted everything I found on the "C" drive related to the game. This was the Ubisoft folder (remaining after the deinstallation) with the launcher, I think in the Program... section. Then I reinstalled the games (the licensed discs install the Ubisoft launcher on the "C" drive), so I deleted the launcher again in "Programs and Features", then immediately installed the Ubisoft Launcher, but only after downloading it from the official website, http://uplay.ubi.com, because the launcher installed from the boxed DVD discs was not displayed on the desktop for some reason. { To free up additional space on the "C" drive, I installed the launcher on the "D" drive } But maybe it wasn't necessary to do all of this.
Now, the most important thing - then I deleted the folder located at: C drive/ users/ user/my documents/ Might & Magic Heroes Vl - only after that did the game start, creating a new, identical folder in place of the deleted Might & Magic Heroes Vl. In this folder, be sure to copy the game save files from the Save folder before deleting it, so you can put them back later.

The tech support didn't mention the folder created by the game in the documents at all. And they suggested doing such nonsense that it's impossible to read without laughing.
For example: - 4. Reinstall the HOSTS file by following the steps described in the following Microsoft article:

- Thank you for contacting us.
To analyze the problem, I need the system report files (don't worry, they don't contain personal information, only system data).
Please provide us with the dxdiag.txt and msinfo32.txt files from the computer where you are experiencing problems with the game:
Exporting the DXDiag report:
1. Go to the "Start" menu > "Run", enter the command dxdiag in the "Open" field, and click "OK";
2. Wait for the green progress bar to reach the end, then click the "Save All Information..." button;
3. Specify your name and the date of submission in the file name, then click the "Save" button to save the file in a place where you can easily find it, for example, on the desktop;
4. Click the "Exit" button to close the application.
-
Exporting the MSInfo report:
1. Go to the "Start" menu > "Run", enter the command msinfo32 in the "Open" field, and click the "OK" button;
2. When the "System Information" window appears, open the "File" menu on the toolbar and select "Export...";
3. Specify your name and the date of submission in the file name, then click the "Save" button to save the file in a place where you can easily find it, for example, on the desktop;
4. The export procedure may take some time. Wait for the progress bar to reach the end. After that, you can close the application.
5. Open the report and click File > Export > Save as txt.
