The ball was contested by players from Aghar, and, apparently due to their mentality, the Tarpaulin Fields footballers were overly relaxed in the first minutes of the match. This led to William Rump scoring the first goal after a team attack on the opponent's goal and an excellent pass from Tobias before any of them could gain possession of the ball. After this unexpected and extremely frustrating event, the Tarpaulin Fields team sharply intensified, launching into a continuous offensive, practically not giving the opponent the opportunity to counterattack; soon they equalized – Ashwin Star sent the ball into the lower corner of Hitaver's goal. The first half ended in the same spirit, however, in the second half, the Aghar footballers took the initiative, and for most of the half, it was they who created the majority of the scoring opportunities. In the seventy-fourth minute, Ashwin had the chance to put his team ahead, but the ball hit the post, leaving him with nothing. Cedric Hilt from the Aghar team was luckier.
