But what does ВК have to do with it? These are completely different authors, and essentially different subgenres.
I couldn't read Tolkien because of the extreme verbosity and incredible boredom (this is my personal opinion, I'm not going to start any arguments).
George Martin's style is still dark fantasy, which is different from the fantasy style. And Game of Thrones is written very vividly and interestingly. In general, I couldn't read or watch ВК; I fell asleep during the very first ВК movie in the cinema, where I was dragged by some friends.
