No, I wasn't speaking of being civilized in the sense of having access to the benefits of civilization. I meant, so to speak, an internal culture that prevents civilized people (and elves) from decorating their bodies with little flowers, swirls, Celtic runes, hearts, and inscriptions like "I won't forget my dear mother."
I am for simple courageous elves, with a clear gaze and a bright countenance, who camouflage themselves in the forest solely through their ability to be silent, vigilant... and sudden.:smile47:
Remember, by the way, the sentinel elves of Lothlórien: when they were motionless, it was impossible to see them... and they didn't paint their faces with zelyonka, for that matter (Nightly Edelweiss noted absolutely correctly, it is indeed zelyonka :smile20: ).
