Horses in Castle on week 1, fast village, but the main exit to the map turned out to be through a one-way monolith... At the start of week 2, Griffin Conservatory, a two-hero team, and a run to the portal, where there is a network of roads and several broken metros and portals. One of the scouts reached the red player, and there was Charna with a ton of skeletons and a full loadout. Kyrre avoids contact and charges blindly into a side teleport, finds an opponent's Tower and a Griffin Conservatory, and lays low. I continue to scout as much as possible, while the main hero runs the long way around to a Dragon Utopia near my first village. The opponent doesn't force the issue, so I manage to clear the contact zone and reveal all entrances and exits. The opponent decides to attack after all, takes the Tower. Kyrre escapes into another one-way monolith and finds a treasure zone with 3 Dragon Utopias. Finally found KZ, before that there were three sets of Dimension Door/fly, but Town Portal stubbornly wouldn't drop. I leveled Aenain for Jump and Clavius, this whole crew didn't let the opponent live in peace, taking away towns. At some point, Charna got caught in a village near her former capital; I decided to check her power, stats, speed, and capes/ orbs. Attacked with Clavius, after removing all his gear beforehand to avoid losing the necro artifacts and boots if there were bracers. There were +2 speed, +1 HP, 1880 skeletons, no bracers, also no magic limiters + AoTD. I actually saw how the AoTD was acquired; I was honestly surprised when Charna rushed into a corner of a small desert treasure zone, ignoring a ring of +1 HP and a prison (she beat it and ran past). During the attack with Clavius, I cast some minor spell on the monks and bought him back; people in chat said it was a cheat, but we were playing with the HeroesWorld mod, so I didn't worry about rule violations, but Clavius really did escape on the first round after casting — looks like a bug. Just in case, I hid him far away and didn't use him for the rest of the game to avoid any unnecessary disputes. Kyrre + Aenain took all towns from the opponent; only a Conflux village remained, over which, essentially a single jump away, Kyrra would camp every turn with archangel stats and a lot of mana. Attacking Charna in the village was risky, and in the castle she herself wasn't eager to attack, since archangels give first strike and destroying the catapult is a piece of cake. Kyrre waited for growth of archangels and gold dragons, raiding goodies (Griffin Conservatories, Dragon Fly Hives, libraries) every day and returning to the archangel castle. The opponent decided not to drag it out and surrendered. Thanks for the game.
I decided not to take res because I had a good start, stables, necro hero, and a lot of money. I was doing really good early, took 2 Griffin Conservatories, had 500+ skels at 123. I was ready to take any sized Dragon Utopia, but didn't find any on the whole map. Also there was no way to rush opponent because of a stupid one-way monolith. I was really annoyed. Early w4 I finally got fly from Tower, and found my first Dragon Utopia. Then entered desert area, took 3 Dragon Utopias, but they barely gave me any skills. By that time Kyrre became very strong, with skills around 35. He started taking my towns, while I put together AoTD. Unfortunately he checked with a scout and my last chance was gone. With full control and all towns, he kept clearing the map and at the end of turn sat in my main castle. Even though I put together Cloak of the Undead too, I really didn't see a point in continuing.
