While reading the manual (from here) for Heroes 3, I noticed that there is an entire section dedicated to creature turning (during movement and attack). What is the point of such a detailed analysis? After all, the animation of turning is needed solely to add realism to what is happening, and it does not affect anything.
There are some subtleties when attacking with dragons. It doesn't always attack in the direction of the cursor (sword). For example, one of the nuances of the attack on /post/687868/ is that we try to attack an angel in one direction, but the dragon attacks differently in two cases. Also, during attacks/counterattacks, not everyone understands exactly where the dragon will strike.
