I'm currently on the 2nd mission, and so far, I'm quite enjoying it. I hope the author has more content in store and will share it with fans:smile13:
Mission 2.
Since no one is rushing things, which is quite pleasant, the first difficulty arises after capturing the Orcish city. I should note that there is absolutely no mention of Ilfina in the mission objectives, and it's impossible to complete the mission without a second hero, because after going through the portal from the Orcish castle, it's impossible to return. Also, the emerging objective states that the Golden Grove city cannot be surrendered. But then, there's simply no one to defend all this territory. Therefore, my suggestion to the author is to include Ilfina in the list of mission quests; sometimes, it turns out that there is no need to free a hero from prison, as I've encountered in other scenarios.
So, after capturing the Orcish castle, no one attacks, so you can safely relocate Ilfina with the entire army to this city, surrender the Elven troops from the two cities to Aeron, and station her in the Orcish city to accumulate 2-3-4 weeks' worth of reinforcements. Considering the various levels of dwellings nearby, this will be more than enough to easily defeat Krag, who will appear after the hero goes through the one-way portal. He emerges from the portal the day after that and appears near his former castle. I personally had to replay because I wanted to do everything quickly, but it turns out there's no way back from "the other side." And another question: if Ilfina doesn't appear anywhere else (or will she appear in later missions?), then there's not much point in leveling her up; she reached level 15 with me by the time I fought Krag.
After capturing the last orange castle, all the money disappears, so you have to quickly sell resources on the market to acquire at least a ship. By the way, the shipyard doesn't become active unless both conditions are met: capturing this 2nd castle and defeating Krag. In my first unsuccessful attempt, I captured the city but didn't defeat Krag. And at the end, on the northwestern island, the battle against Tenedre becomes an easy task if Aeron has accumulated a good number of troops and you haven't tried to complete the map in about 10 days.
