Pre-order “Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia. HD Edition”

I don't know what the issue is, but if you modify the file with the numerical range, the Steam version simply won't launch – and it doesn't even display any errors! Has anyone who doesn't use Steam tried tinkering with the resources?
