Regarding the football aspect: I won't be doing all the calculations myself, as the amount of work would be no less than a full-fledged expedition, and I haven't found a decent text-based simulator, so the only option is to run all the games in FIFA from EA. I will install and check the generation of players/teams, and if I'm satisfied, I will run the entire tournament with all the details (matches will be played exclusively by computers without my intervention). In my opinion, it will be very interesting to follow the progress of such a tournament.
