Is there a need for a HotA tournament?

For now, the question is slightly different – when will the developers release the final version? The current 1.3.5 is positioned by them as not quite ready yet.

What is the critical issue with it not being ready? I'm just not in the loop. Are there many bugs that will prevent online play? People are already playing it extensively, even streaming it.
