I'm not completely sure. I found this information a long time ago, but since then, the winds of time might have blown away some of the less solid knowledge. Practice is the criterion of truth. In this case, there's nothing simpler: take a stack of ghosts and "tap" on it. There shouldn't be more than three misses in a row. (in 1.6, the 1/3 probability was distributed across the entire battle, and then you could miss ten times in a row).
