Because it’s a deterrent template, with the presence of ranged units, just like, for example, Jebus, it requires a different, non-contact tactic.
And since when has “contact” become an attribute of HL+U? It always seemed to me that it was the opposite. Of course, when the layout and skill allow you to start clashing on turn 12, that’s cool, but if that’s the main goal, then take Jebus and L-Ks. By the way, on Nostalgia, control and FB are often found on turn 2. Wicc
I have a total of 15-20 games, 5-7 of which are tournaments, and I dare say that the tactics-psychology there is typical for other XL units. At least, it is less similar to Jeb or Nost CM. Perhaps only to Mini-Nost, but even then, only partially.
And I don’t agree with that either. If there are no DD/flyers on turn 2, the game can start on turn 13. My sample, however, is about 5 games, but I have no doubt about the conclusions – few spawns and a lot of space lead to a long game. But is it really necessary to reduce HL+U to the tempo of L?
