I'll post a couple of links that I stumbled upon; maybe someone has already seen them. Just in case, someone might find them interesting.

A slightly outdated guide on creating a nation, where the answers to the questionnaire and other questions are explained in detail. Now that everyone has created their own countries, it can't hurt to take a look.
A fun program that shows the economic characteristics of a nation and/or the entire region in more detail. I'll say right away that there are many inaccuracies, but it's worth taking a look. Also, there's a very interesting scale for converting the national currency into dollars, or simply comparing the value of one currency relative to another. And here's a second similar program for comparison.
