In my opinion, it's not the colors that matter, but the zone number; blue on 8mm6 and 8mm6a are different, and the remaining distribution of roads/teleports will be different. An evil faction on (x)l+u has a very high probability of ending up at the bottom, because 2/3 of the computers are always (statistically) at the top, and there is a shortage of space there; the last time, I started with demons at the bottom for 5 generations in a row.
