If you are following the manual exactly and it doesn't work, then you probably made a mistake in the text file name (it is important to observe even uppercase/lowercase letters) or the text encoding is incorrect.

Well, I checked letter by letter. And the path is correct.
And regarding the script: if the script itself were incorrect, then none of the scripts would work. (verified by me)

And by the way, in the script, when a hero arrives on a specific day, a message should appear (too), but the script itself works, but the message does not.
