Yes, there's no point in comparing the past and the present. In terms of timing, the second day definitely started with a significant delay (the organizers and some participants overslept, and then took a long time to get here :o), whereas here, the only problem in the morning will be waking up and getting your opponent to play :D
P.S. Yes, bring your laptops – the more, the better.
The tournament couldn't be held over the planned two days due to the number of participants. About 14 people registered, but in reality, there were around 20-22, because there were only 16 computers available in the club, so some pairs were idle, and the last three games had to be played online. I would recommend that the organizers pay attention to this aspect first. However, if they have already decided on a venue, there will be no such problems; all that remains is to overcome alcoholism, debauchery, and gambling addiction :).
P.S. There is a certain probability that I will be able to come, but I'm already afraid to sign up; it all depends on a number of factors that are impossible to predict right now :(
