Heroic International – A Manifesto

The goal of this tournament is not to grind ratings. The goal is to give the members of the GI an opportunity to feel like a single team. As it stands, this is purely a formal association. This tournament provides no bonuses (other than gaining personal experience). I absolutely do not want to make it official, and I certainly do not want everyone striving to join the GI just for the sake of the tournament.
The thing is, membership in the GI implies certain moral obligations, and I don't want to force anyone to take them on. However, I believe that membership in the GI should be backed by something.
Clan matters should be decided by the LZMS, not the GI. The GI focuses on ensuring that members of different clans do not clash with one another and do not violate forum rules.
As for the fact that members of different clans may end up on the same team—the better, the more. Interaction will increase. And since victory provides no rewards (other than moral ones), there should be no hard feelings.
