We had a rough start, opponent took 112, I didn't take it. The layout turned out – respawn in the bottom was not big, 2 paths.
– 2 heroes arrived on 2 stacks, I scattered, artifact was worthless, I built Goblin upgrade, found 2 Griffin Conservatories, a stable, a mana fountain near the castle and an external dwelling of Beholders, ended up with five heroes, not great on gold.
– built Wolves, a stone mine was blocked by 50-99 gr Faerie Dragons, visited the Desert stable, took the external Orc dwelling.
– found stone, some gold, beat back everything with scout heroes, left half a stack of Goblins on the Snake stacks, visited upgrade structures with Desert, built Birds and bought them out.
– broke into the underground through Orcs, left more Goblins, turned out to be my corner three-way area, one road leads to tons of guards, the other exit seems to be in the middle of nowhere somewhere far off, turned back, missed a build day, found more stone.
– upgraded Wolves, checked the Conservatory on the respawn, turned out to be a single with GS, from the army: 19 gr Wolves, 3 Birds, 19 Goblins, figured even if I took it I'd be left with one Angel, not great either.
– went along the second path from respawn also into the underground, broke through, found 2 external Troglodyte dwellings of Dragon Fly Hives guarded by 20-49 Waspworts, some resources, built a Market.
– beat back some gold, built a Citadel, moved toward the opponent, scouted and found 2 more Griffin Conservatories nearby, and a Pandora's Box guarded by 50-99 Griffins (+ some other resources), Desert got Earth magic on lvl 4, Log didn't level up at all, only Wisdom.
– Tyraxor entered on 3 stacks, barely scraped together a buyout, went via upgrade structures to the single Conservatory on the respawn, Desert went through underground upgrade structures.
– scraped together enough for another hero, broke the Conservatory, placed Desert on the path to the opponent.
– broke through Waspwort stacks, took the Dragon Fly Hive at the underground entrance (minimum), the opponent broke through his exit behind the Marksmen and stood in the passage with his army, I killed him with Desert and went to the Conservatories in the underground.
– the opponent cut off one of my heroes with a scout, I punished him with another scout, took both Conservatories, the first turned out to be a single unit, the second a double, broke through Elves between the Conservatories with no road and found a Town Portal scroll, Desert finally leveled up her Log, bought out Gosha without army from the tavern.
– killed the opponent, placed Gosha in a chain to clear the second Conservatory and the external Beholder dwelling guarded by 10-19 gr Birds on the respawn, the opponent's respawn turned out to be a dead end, barely any objects.
– broke the Conservatory (single) with Gosha, took the external Beholder dwelling, finished off the opponent with Desert on Ducks, found a Dragon Fly Hive on the opponent's respawn guarded by Griffins, bought heroes up to 7 total.
– placed Desert near the Dragon Fly Hive on the opponent's respawn, Gosha at the stable on my respawn, built a chain.
– took the Dragon Fly Hive with Desert, burned the opponent, Shaktera with Minotaurs, Ducks, Troglodytes and gr Harpies, through the mountains, Desert already mastered Earth magic and took Intelligence, Gosha also leveled up decently, took Earth and Log, the army was 1 Beholder, 5 Birds, 8 Ducks, 5 Angels, and singles of Wolves and Goblins.
– decided to slowly necromancy, with Gosha turned into the corner three-way area on 2 Beholders, 1 Angel, and 5 Birds, left the rest of the army on Desert, in the main I hadn't built anything since 117.
– slowly moved Desert toward the center, Gosha necromancied in the corner, barely any gold or resources, built nothing.
– Gosha continued operating in the corner, everything leveled except Necromancy, on the way to the second opponent Desert found another Dragon Fly Hive, the path was crazy in the underground along the edge with a cell-wide path on both sides, built a thousand in the main.
– in the intermediate three-way area found Desert Boots, the three-way area turned out to be a swamp, Gosha cleared a Sphere of Earth, a village in the corner, built a tavern there, scrounged up resources and started building a Mage Guild in the opponent's castle (Inferno).
– Gosha found a minimal Conservatory in the corner, a Refugee Camp, and a box guarded by 50-99 gr Fire Elementals, still couldn't scrounge Skeletons, but did advance Necromancy to lvl 11 ape xD Desert took a village in the three-way area, built a tavern there, found 2 Dragon Fly Hives and Naga armor.
– cleared the three-way area with Desert, in the corner Gosha scrounged up 91 Skeletons, positioned for breaking through gr Fire Elementals, built Mage Guild lvl 3 in Inferno.
– built Mage Guild lvl 4 in Inferno, through a scout's split sent the Town Portal scroll to Goshan, he broke through the 50-99 gr Fire Elementals, portal'd to the three-way area to Desert, Desert continued toward the opponent through another three-way area, found a Dragon Utopia.
– moved Gosha into the zone near the Dragon Utopia, so he could scrounge more Skeletons on the Angel and visit upgrade structures the next day, Desert didn't make it to the opponent, took a Dragon Fly Hive and a Cyclops dwelling along the way.
– Desert took Orange's castle, turned back, built Mage Guild lvl 5 in Inferno, Goshan positioned for the Dragon Utopia.
– the Dragon Utopia turned out to be maximum but good, gave a hat, all 5th level, and a sword for +5 all, and a cap for +12 knowledge, Goshan flew to the main, doubled the mana at the fountain, and with DD and Fly went to the 3rd Conservatory which turned out to be somewhere far off in my respawn area.
– well, the tandem started, Gosha – Desert, one would retreat, transfer, and the other would go.
– pushed back another opponent, Turquoise.
– mostly scouted and fended off the opponent and scouts, killed Purple.
– caught the opponent's army on a scout, 50 gr Minotaurs and about 50 Ducks, cut down about 40 Minotaurs with explosion, and the opponent for some reason rammed his Ducks into mine, in the end about 13 Ducks remained and he retreated.
– pushed back another opponent, cut off the opponent's scouts, scouted.
– broke into the underground three-way area with Goshan, found bracers.
– caught Shakti(?) near my corner three-way area on Shakles, had a strong advantage in FB on army, he was ahead in Attack and SP, I had about 39 Ducks, 8 Angels, 7 Birds, 6 Mages, 1 and 1 Faerie Dragons, 40 gr Beholders(?)/Cacas(?); he had 34 Ducks, 6 Angels, 14 gr Minotaurs, and some Gnolls and Lizardmen as army, first turn he cast Mass Shield, I cast Mass Haste, rammed into him, second turn I killed all his singles and blinded the Wyvern, he cast Mass Slow, third turn he was left with 4 Angels and all Ducks, removed the buffs from them, realized that even under Slow my Birds were faster and typed GG.
Thanks for the game!
and still wouldn't lose. But it wasn't the time to play, I shouldn't have played, made unclear moves and got caught with my army going toward the opponent. Then a retreat hoping to turn the situation around, but on the way to the three-way area the opponent caught me and there were no more chances.
Thank you for the game!
P.S. "the opponent for some reason rammed his Ducks into mine" – that was to retreat.;)
