Oh... I'm writing a paper on the topic of "Humor as a psychological phenomenon"... The main literature consists of 400-page books in small print, written in English, and filled with all sorts of experiments. It's incredibly boring.
Tolkien ("The Lord of the Rings," "The Silmarillion")
Michael Moorcock (especially "The Rune Sword")
Bulgakov ("The Master and Margarita")
Herbert ("Dune")
Belyanin (the "Sword Without a Name" trilogy, humorous fantasy)
These are some of my favorites.
