God... Truth or fiction?

Well, if you look at it that way... individual groups certainly resisted, but that's what happens with any idea implemented on a national scale (for example, you can be sure that the druids in Ireland weren't too happy about the adoption of Christianity, even though the people approved of it). The only difference is that the elite generally adopted Christianity voluntarily (of course, there were many opposite cases), but Islam was never adopted voluntarily by anyone.
