Elves – (Alves in Germanic mythology) – are relatives of the Gnomes, but they cannot stand dungeons, which made it difficult for them to hide from humans. They didn’t like to fight, so they didn’t resist, but simply fled from the human tribe. Alves are wise men and wizards, but they only possess good magic and cannot cause harm. Some Alves came to humans and did much good. They taught sorcerers magic and secret sciences, and sought to improve morals. And they achieved some success. One of the last refuges of the Alves-Elves was Evlisia – the Blessed Swan Country near Mount Alatyr, but then they left even this place.
