Your morality.

Well... if I had lived and grown up in that era, and especially if I had joined the crusaders, and I was already fed up with these Muslims and their underhanded – from the knights' point of view – combat tactics, and the heat was getting to me, I would have killed them all, but I would have taken the young women for myself and "distributed" them to my warriors for their enjoyment (that is, I would have done what all warriors did back then); moreover, children only began to be recognized as distinct beings around the 18th century; before that, they were simply seen as small adults – they worked around the house, helped adults, and during a siege, they threw various nasty things at the enemy along with the women, so they were essentially small adults back then. But if I were suddenly transported through time and held a relatively high position among the crusaders (that is, if I acted as I have grown up to be here), I would spare not only the boy but ALL the other prisoners; and when more important crusaders pressured me, I would appeal to their better nature. What would come of it, I don't know for sure, but in our time, it usually works
