The Old Gods don't fit the example of demons as a race. Nor do the fel-corrupted races, like those that make up the "Burning Legion." Because demons in WoW aren't a separate species, but mutants of other species. Some of them, for example, the annihilan, were all corrupted. I didn't mention the Warhammer demons from the warp either, because although the original idea is close to that of Diablo, it's used more to create various monsters. Besides, it's Warhammer, there are no positive factions there.
