Forgive me, maybe I’ve lost my touch, but I can’t seem to get the Stone Flower. I start playing exactly as you described (on my own, without any guides, because I like to figure things out myself, and only look for information if something doesn’t work and takes too long). So, in the Dungeon, I quickly found the prison, captured all the mines there, and all the other buildings, and spent all my money on an army – this took about 3 weeks, I don’t remember exactly. Then I left, headed to the garrison, and to my great surprise, the companions joined me, and that was it... I captured the Castle, but then the most interesting thing begins: a day or two later, companions from the Necropolis come to visit, with such an army that it’s terrifying... I kill the first one with difficulty, and all that’s left of the army are a few monks and some minor units from the knights. And another day later, another companion visits me with an army that is no less large than the previous one, he kills me (the mission ends), or I run away, then he takes my Castle and stays there, which puts me in a dead end...
I tried to get to the next garrison without capturing the Castle, remembering that the previous one will join, I attack – and a battle begins, the army is not very good, but there is no point in capturing this garrison, because in 2-3 days companions come and kill me... that’s how it is. Please tell me how you managed to have so few major battles until the end of the mission.

The exact same thing happens to me. The first time, I started playing – I slowly went through the Dungeon, not knowing where to go; as a result, I wasted time. I’m replaying. I quickly go to the prison, taking 3 mines along the way, and replenishing my forces in the dwellings. The garrison joins, but then. And then 2 more groups appear and destroy half of my army. I gave the more powerful troops to Godric, because it turned out that he has higher attack/defense stats. After taking this Gryphonhill, I try to lead Zehir there. Another group from Ellaine appears with a “medium” difficulty for Godric, and he loses on auto-battle. Manually, with some resurrections and other tricks, he still defeats her. And the question is, what should I expect next? :) Will they keep coming? (version 1.60)
P.S. About the garrison. The garrison does NOT join automatically; you need to stop on it and manually transfer these warriors to your slots. It basically matches the composition of Godric’s group.
I’ve only built up this Gryphonburg to the griffons so far, but I need to hire a 3rd hero to also collect peasants and patrol the Dungeon, because I don’t have enough money.
