How do I summon a unit from a town to a hero?

It should also be noted (if I'm not mistaken) that for each summoned unit, the hero loses one unit of mana, and the spell also only affects the nearest town to the hero using it. The creatures to be summoned must already be bought and be in the town's garrison at the moment the spell is cast.
