I remember nights lasting 3 days only in Mafia 63, when we decided to try a game with two GMs. But nights lasting 1.5 days have happened. Including in your forest kingdom. ;)

That's too little. But 18 hours is quite normal. 6 hours should be enough for the GM to read the newspaper.
